i remember eating at an italian restaurant in japan. there was a japanese patron at a table nearby. she was all about the double fisted fork and spoon technique but was really awkward with it. being a born and raised white american myself, i ignored the spoon. the jap noticed this and abandoned her own efforts at controlling the spoon and adopted my style.

when i was a stoned teenager chillin with my buddy I ate dinner at his house with his dad and his girlfriend. Bout halfway through the guy asks if I've ever eaten spaghetti before. Obviously everybody has eaten spaghetti so I confusedly said yes and then he questioned why I had my elbows on the table then. Wasnt raised in a house that cared about little shit like that so I didnt even know wtf he was talkin about but he was clearly pretty offended.
