>> No.15222349

Money's not an object? A nice artisan loaf, either from a quality bakery or made yourself if you feel confident enough. Pure butter from a local dairy, grass-fed free-range cattle. Likely salted to provide all the salt necessary for the sandwich. A blend of two-three cheeses that melt well - Asiago, Provolone, Monterey Jack, Colby, Mozarella, Gruyere, anything that melts well. Alternatively, Sodium Citrate mixed with a harder to melt cheese like a real Cheddar. At that point you have a Grilled Cheese, and purists will argue that anything else turns it into a melt. But I'd add a bit of fresh tomato sauce to it, personally.

>> No.15222353

If you want to start a real argument, just call out the savages who think butter goes in the pan and not directly onto the bread.

Buttering the bread can be kind of difficult. It puts the mayo on the inside of the bread, not the outside. It puts a pat of butter in the pan and draws a little bread shape with it with the point of the knife. It places the sandwich in the melted butter. It repeats on the other side.

Grill until done to your liking.
