The snib snab method is worse. They have a distributed nervous system so bifercating the head doesn't totally kill them (especially if you miss the brain stem bundle of nerves thing) all you've done it cause them several extra seconds of discomfort before they get thrown into the pot. Dropping them into a pot of aggressively boiling water after an hour in the fridge to numb them is objectively the fastest, hardest to fuck up, most humane, and most simple method of killing a lobster short of smashing it with a giant comedy hammer.
