Well they're easier to make, so that's one thing. And you can top them like you would a casserole or lasagna so you get a layer of bubbly cheese on top, it's a different kind of dish.

I just made baked pasta recently, lotta talk of "baked ziti" seems to be in the air. it's actually crazy easy to do though, like almost can'tgowrong. and by that I mean, I tried, I DID fuck up, a couple times actually, and yet the final result was still delicious. Give it a try.
