There are thousands of recipes out there, but the basics are:

12 hard boiled eggs, peeled
1 cup (250 mL) white vinegar
1 cup (250 mL) water
1 tbsp (15 mL) granulated sugar
2 tsp (10 mL) pickling spice
1 tsp (5 mL) salt

Then add, garlic, onion, peppers, beet juice, other spices, etc. You can also use the juice left over from pickled peppers to add kick.

The eggs should still be kept in the fridge or other cool place.

My daughter eats a lot of eggs. It's good for a growing little girl. Her favourite egg cup is a gnome like creature holding a bowl over it's head. I don't approve of gnomes or sprites but it encouraged her to eat eggs. A few weeks ago I found out she'd been talking to the egg cup at night, wasn't sure how to take it. Sneaking into the kitchen. As long as it wasn't sexual I was okay with it. I've been sniffing it, to make sure she's not using it to pleasure herself. Anyone else here know of this kind of behaviour? I took her and the egg cup to a child psychologist but she wouldn't address the issue with the cup in the room.

When our ducks were out of control, we'd scramble a couple dozen at a time, add some cream, pour them into freezing jars, and chuck them in the freezer. You can make decent versions of anything you'd use some scrambled eggs to make. The USDA will tell you how long they'll last. Trust them, not me, but I know that we used some 3 years after they went into the freeze.
