It wasn't the only reason, but a major part of why I broke up with my last girlfriend is because she insisted on cooking for me every single night and food would be ready as soon as I got home. I don't like eating that early, and like having a choice in my dinner, and she didn't like eating out because she found it wasteful. She was always starving hungry, thus immediate dinner.

I knew her heart was in the right place, so I didn't complain a ton, but I know when dating now to point out I don't really love home cooked meals and would rather we ate out or took care of our own food.

Someone who is a great cook is offering their services at a cheaper rate than it is for me to clumsily put a disappointing meal together in twice the time to try to impress someone.
