Most of my issues with this kind of product is extremely high sodium taint, some type of MSG or migraine triggers and far more parsley, herbs, and cheaperr celery that you'd add to your own demi-glace, ie not enough rich meaty flavor, so all the thickened texture but, none of the oomph of rich flavor reduction.

The packages lie. A lot of the time it's in the ingredient list still because a lot of the ingredients in general contain natural msg. In the vast majority of bullion and store bought chicken stocks still contain it even though the label says "no added msg"

Stock base is nice to have around. A little bit even makes an okay toast spread with butter.
