when i cook water for ~3-4 minutes in my pan it gets those weird white stuff on its surface. wtf is this? i'm afraid this will leak into my food when i use the pan.

looks like its probably the minerals in the water. just like if you leave a cup of water out for a while and the water evaporates, there will be white sediment in the cup. pretty normal and harmless. if it bothers you though you can get a fancy britta filter or something

my hometown's tap water is full of it. used to be able to drink it just fine but after i moved out i have to buy bottled water every time i visit because it tastes like shit to me now. shouldn't be that much of a problem when it comes to cooking i think. you can get a filtered jug or whatever but idk if those filter out limestone

It's fluoride and estrogen. They add it to tapwater because it's good for you.
