25$ for a 1.5lbs lobster is insane. They are usually and rightfully 4.99 or whatever a pound everywhere.
You don't want to boil it; you want to remove the tail and limbs and saute them in butter.
Dipping butter shouldn't be necessary as it's just a cover for poor cooking and prep.

A small fork and a roasted tail is incredible with a fresh chopped salad or a heavy potato celery medley.

Don't get tricked into thinking lobsters are just meant to be boiled for 12 minutes and eaten like a chicken wing.

Never understood this meme. I live in Vancouver and whenever I feel like lobster, I can have it shipped over to me from the clan back in Newfoundland for cheaper than it'd cost at the local grocery store. That's not just shipping it from the ocean to somewhere in the interior, that's fucking coast to coast.

Stores make a fucking mint selling lobster out of season at a massive markup and then keeping those prices up all year long. Just fucking by from the source when it's in season and it's less than half the price or better. If you want the luxury of eating shit out of season, of course it's going to cost more, but don't let the grocery jews get you like that when it is in season.

There's a Redd/int/ phrase that's appropriate for this, but I really fucking hate it.

So I never sauteed it like the other anon was saying, but I have steamed and boiled. Steaming is much better than boiling. Try it next time. $25 for 1.5lb is steep but definitely not as cheap as other anon states. Lobster here is around $10 a lb and I'm in New England.
