Is pasta with cream unhealthy? Is it as bad as pizza?

What’s wrong with pasta? What’s wrong with cream? Control your portion sizes during each meal as well as balancing out a large meal by following it with a smaller meal next time you eat. Also stop following American pasta recipes. They all suck and use way too much cream, cheese, and butter in proportion with the pasta. Remember that euroPOORS would have been cautious of being wasteful with ingredients whereas Americans will pile food high with mountains of cheese like the classic skyline chili photo. Pasta “Alfredo” began in Italy as pasta al doppio burro (double butter). It was pasta like fettuccine tossed with extra butter then topped with cheese, Parmesan I think, for some guys wife who was have trouble stomaching food. It was only in America that it became butter, cream, and a 4 cheese blend in a portion large enough to feed 4 grown men.

No. Portion control/lack of portion control is.

i still don't understand what's so bad about pizza. it's just flour and water with a bit of tomato sauce and cheese. unless you sit around all day or eat 6 at a time I don't see how its worse than any other pasta, potatoe shit

For macaroni and cheese, I usually don't have macaroni drenched with oozing cheese, only enough to coat them, and add some diced onion

It's not the worst thing you can eat but it's mostly just fat and refined flour so it's not that healthy either. Add some chicken and vegetables with it and it's fine though, although whole wheat pasta is a little healthier too.

Nothing wrong with gluten unless you actually have an allergy/intolerance, which most people don't.

Might just be the same thing that happens when people go on keto, it's not really the gluten or carbs making them feel bad but giving up those things means you have to cut a lot of junk food out of your diet.

>> No.16068607

There are no bad food or good food in terms of energy fit for human or mammalian consumption, at the end of the day it is just calories and if you hit your macros

What is killing people in the west is meal frequency and spiking insulin. Every single animal study where they restrict the eating of the mammals their longevity increases.

It doesn't even matter if they eat the same calories, those rats which are given their calories once in a 2 days or once in a 3 days will live longer than they contemporaries who eat 8 times a day. Even though they eat the same amount of calories and eat the same food. It's the meal frequency and insulin, blood sugar spikes that are killing people, not the food they are eating. Keto itself makes no sense if you eat multiple times a day

Better to live to 85, be mostly deaf, outlive most of the people you ever knew, then die in a covid ward because some public hospital wants money.

I'm adding heavy cream to my whey protein at this rate.

>ancient cities with sprawling public transpiration systems that are incredibly walkable
vs
>cities that only became huge in the last 75 years, unwalkable due to black neighborhoods and lack of public transportation, people commuting over an hour one way to work longer hours and get less vacation

Must be the food making us fat.
