What is the best soda pop and why is it Coke?

Also, when you order a soda pop at a restaurant, do you ask for a "soda", a "pop", a "soda pop", a "cola" or do you just say "coke", even if they only serve pepsi?

Yes they do. Worked in casual restaurant with visible soda fountain. They could see all flavors with ease. Too many people would order "one fountain drink please".
I'm like, wtf... Can't you read or am I supposed to guess what you want.
Can't count how many times I had to ask what kind.

When someone asks for a fountain drink they just want coke/ pepsi, it's the standard, like if someone orders a scoop of ice cream, unless they specific chocolate, the expectation is vanilla.
