There's at least 6 countable pieces of chicken in the top of that bucket. No way it only took another 6 to fill the bottom 4/5

Fast food is fast. Not necessarily cheap. Chicken like kfc is particularly more expensive to run properly, so more expensive to the customer, especially if the chicken is fresh. A lot of stock is wasted if people dont happen to want KFC on a particular day. Expenses add up.

Easier at other fast food places where the product is mostly frozen.

delivery apps raise the prices like crazy, see if it's any cheaper to order directly from the website or get off your lazy ass and get it yourself.

I've noticed the chains in my area just raised their prices all around. Why not be consistent? Damn big macs are $7

Nah, it's just what they want you to think. Feed a family of 4 with maccas and you're down $50+.
They can leverage their supply chains to provide cheap snacks though, like a $2 chicken and cheese or a $4 go bucket etc.
Delivery apps cause mark ups as well though, everything costs more on apps, from most stores.

I mean I think its a ripoff still because that shit will give me the runs, but idk if you want a reasonable price you gotta cook it yourself.

>why not be consistent
because they know that anyone who orders thru doordash, ubereats, etc. are terrible with money monkeybrains and they can get away with inflated prices.

Look at people's eating habits today compared to just 10 years ago. Even grandma normies just want to sit on the couch and eat while watching a YouTube video rather than sharing a meal with someone. Even high end restaurants before kung flu were suffering because people today will go out to a $300+ dinner and take photos and then eat in silence while texting/posting. You go to a bar on a Friday night in a college town and at any given moment 75% of the occupants are looking at a smartphone. These fucking demons have ensured that getting food delivered for a premium will be popular, because they're designed to isolate you even when surrounded by loved ones. Prices going up for people actually eating out is just further pressure to say fuck it and go eat in your corner quietly like a good little consumer.

You're on 4chan. All you have said is that our era is upon us, and you're acting like it's somehow a bad thing. Are you sure you're where you want to be, socialite?

I was at jack in the box and all their main menu items were at minimum $6.50 for the burger alone, I think some went up to $8, at that price there's really no point
