What's the victorinox of pans? I just want one 9-inch fry pan that isn't high maintenance and is solid enough.

I wanted an all-clad when I was a pool college freshman and setup camelcamelcamel alerts for a significant price drop. Took three years and finally got the 12" one with lid for like $65.
I never owned a different brand of stainless pan, but I wouldn't want to either.

Grab a 10" or a 12" instead.

Having a 9" fry pan is like having a 4" penis. Yeah, you can do a few things with it on your own but you'll never be able to do anything with it to make anyone else happy.

Find an All-Clad on sale in Marshalls or HomeGoods. They have the D5 and the copper cores regularly

>> No.16592510

It's best just to get a whole set. Cuisinart has a set that has been on sale for $200(currently $300) plenty of times and is 98% as good as all-clad (https://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-MCP-12N-Multiclad-Stainless-12-Piece/dp/B009JXPS6U).). For non-stick go with a Vollrath and just don't use metal or put it in a dish washer, it will last for years (https://www.amazon.com/Vollrath-Z4010-Wear-Ever-Non-Stick-Aluminum/dp/B003ZTNLFO).). If you want a dutch oven just get one from Lodge like this (https://www.amazon.com/Lodge-Enameled-Cast-Dutch-Indigo/dp/B096L1F6DM).). You can also get a cast iron pan and/or a wok if you want to cook on them, just make sure you get a wok made out of carbon steel. If you have all these you should be able to cook just about any dish really well.

>made in the best factories around the world
So all they are is a brand and they contract out the manufacturing to a different company. Fuck that, if you want quality cookware you should be buying from a company who manufactures their own stuff

There’s a couple more hours on this sale here >>16589107 so take advantage and get some good stuff on the cheap. I got a $400 pot for $120 because of this tiny little imperfection last year.
