very accurate. I had a coworker at a restaurant, sweetest goofiest teddy bear of a young fat/giant black dude you could imagine, but in trying to bond with another superior whom he loved and spoke in ebonics, to me at least, it sounded like nails on a chalkboard when he'd try and bond with her saying shit like "oh I didn't know it do be like that" when it's obvious he never ever talks like that. kinda ironic since I've met his mother a couple times and she spoke with the same improper grammar/etc. his father died relatively young and I never met him, maybe he spoke much more proper, he did personally change his last name to something much more white sounding, along the lines of francoise or lafontaine or something, to try and better his station in life. thank you for reading my blog post.

Up here in Wisconsin we use yet at the end of our sentences, not because we don't know better but because in our community it's acceptable.
That being said it is a problem that there's such a big cultural split in america, but I don't think it's fair to blame it all on one side.

when i see things like every conjugation of the verb "to be" replaced with a single conjugation, i can't help but feel it is somewhat simple and it developed that way because they're dumb. some dialects are just for dumb people, not just in english but in all languages. you know this in your heart to be true and you probably don't have very flattering thoughts about the speaker when you hear a hillbilly dialect.

Yes there are different dialects but what I hate is when people write in a shitty dialect. Spoken language has a more natural way of developing and I understand that, but writing is learned in a very deliberate way and the language used in the sign is something someone very young could come up with and write with correct grammar. It is highly likely this person knows better and chose the path of ignorance because even the ghettoest welfare recipients were usually semi literate by middle school, infact middle school black kids are always kind of smart asses.

Im calling bullshiteven the youngest kids today at 2 or 3 on tablets more often than not are being exposed to correct grammar, when they go to school they have teachers that teach them correct grammar though at times the slip up sure, the signs all have correct grammar, all their favorite kiddy books and disney movies black kids love too use correct grammar. honestly my social life has diminished so much getting older I didn't even consider what you're saying.
