Why do they try to emulate real food? What's the point of eating the food that normal food eats?

Seriously, you only end up with a serious vitamin A deficiency and teeth falling out of your face. Pure stupidity.

Seriously though, I’ve never understood the whole “fake meat” thing.

I mean there’s a ton of dishes out there that are delicious on their own merits, and just happen to not contain any meat.
Why not eat that? Why try to emulate meat?

eh, dont make threads like these. I hate vegans but I also hate anti vegan bait threads. We all know they are retarded sheep who have awful o-zone depleting farts and shit 80 times a day but let them write their own jokes

Vegan here.
It's advertised as a transition food. Like when you first switch your diet and are too retarded to cook tofu and lentils.
I for one like getting beyond burgers when i go out to restaurants sometimes
Alternatively, it is also for the man-baby who is extremely taste averse and doesn't eat vegetables but somehow is still vegetarian/vegan

I don’t get the concept of vegan meat.
Vegans (at least the vast majority) believe that eating meat is morally reprehensible, subhuman act; that it’s torture and murder.

Yet they champion the development of products designed to simulate the sensory experience of doing it, finding ways to make it look/taste more realistic, and then finally celebrating the Impossible/Beyond products as ‘revolutionary’ and “as good as the real thing”. They know eating meat is a pleasurable experience; they just believe it’s cruel, and want to replicate the experience in a way that doesn’t cause pain or create a ‘victim’ in the process.

If the prevailing vegan argument is that the development and enjoyment of “realistically simulated” meat is okay because the moral component is entirely removed, as no sentient creature is harmed, then fine. I have zero issue with that.
However, I would then ask if they’re also fine with the development and enjoyment of realistic loli sexdolls, as the same “moral component” reason should apply.
>inb4 false equivalence
It’s not. Especially within in the context of veganism itself; they regularly equate the consumption of meat and animal products to rape, slavery, torture, and murder, all wrapped into one. If that perfect-storm of moral transgressions suddenly becomes moot when nothing is hurt, how is some dude fucking a piece of rubber any different?

>> No.16653987

>>16653951
That's why most of those products are advertised as "plant-based". As a vegan, I'm ok with fake meat and loli sex dolls. Both of these things are not morally reprehensible.

Idk my poops have been way better since i stopped eating dairy/meat, although i admit i do shit more.
Before my poops would be hard and difficult to pass, now it takes no straining.
My asshole is hairy so i do use a bidet or wet tp with water, but i would use it if i still ate meat as well

I'm a vegan, but not by choice. I pretty much did exactly what Kevin Smith did, I had a massive heart attack and was basically told that it's either make a massive lifestyle change to lose weight and drop my cholesterol and blood pressure, or have another massive heart attack and die. I lost two hundred pounds fucking fast, but I'm miserable every day. The imitation meats helped me in the beginning, when I'd have a craving for a cheeseburger that could be my last ever food eaten. I'm in the best shape of my life, but I don't recommend if you're a normal person who can eat a normal amount of food; vegan food is so unsatisfying that it pretty much broke my food addiction, but I keep up with it because I'm afraid that if I say "you know, it's been two years, I can have a steak", I'll backslide and literally die.
Tldr if you're morbidly obese, go vegan; if you're a normal person, don't subject yourself to this living nightmare.
