season 1 and 2 are far and away the best while 3 is very mediocre. i know the show isn't everybody's cup of tea but i watched it when it was first on telly and i still reference it today as do many brits and some yanks i know who have seen it. i don't know, perhaps we are of a certain age but it was very formative for me and i think echoes of its humour can be seen down the line
