Seems like the complaints worked then, good for them. I'm OK with new hires having to wear them because they go into the job app process knowing what the new uniforms are but I can see it being uncomfortable for those who had been working there expecting the usual uniform and then having a new one mandated. I think there will continue to be nostalgia for the old look too.

I just think the bottoms should be orange instead of black. The new look overall is very bland and doesn't have a strong brand identity and the way the shirt tucks in looks weird and sloppy, they may as well have updated the tops to be a little cropped for a sleeker look.

Personally my biggest issue with 'breastaurants' is negative pressure on other restaurants and waitstaff. My uncle for instance, works as a waiter, loves his job and supported a family on that. I think it would be a shame if the concept of breastaurants proliferated so much that people like him would be competing for a smaller pool of available waitstaff jobs. And of course there are lots of women who pay the bills being regular waitresses too who wouldn't be able to get Hooters work. I wouldn't be surprised if these places became more popular though, once people got used to eating in and uber eats and stuff it is going to take more than food to entice people to go out.

Yeah, I know not all feminists share the exact same views. Hence why I made sure to say "some feminists". The thing is, the ones saying Only Fans is empowering and the ones calling men trash for viewing it oftentimes are the same people. I've literally seen online sex workers call their own customers creeps for consuming the content they create on social media.

I can see how booby restaurants could be cause issues for other restaurants and waitstaff in theory, but I strongly doubt they'll ever be more than a tiny niche. That said, I have noticed something similar in regards to online cosplay. Sexualized cosplay has become so dominant in the online cosplay community to the point where it's pretty much impossible to be a popular cosplayer without creating soft-core porn which I do find a shame. I like sexy stuff but I still want non-sexualized stuff to be a thing.

I've definitely noticed the change in the cosplay community, its a shame. I had friends that used to really enjoy going to the conventions and dressing up but as more and more models started trickling into the hobby they started feeling more and more self conscious and started to enjoy it less. The entire tone of the hobby changed since it became so strongly associated with sex and with shallower fans watering down the positive social aspects. I do think it is possible that something like that could happen to restaurants at least in some areas. I could imagine touristy areas for instance, having a higher ratio of titty pubs so if you actually live there and are trying to find work it could become a frustrating experience when you aren't hired for being male, frumpy, older etc. This sort of pressure already exists for certain kinds of jobs I just think it is a shame when the mentality starts to affect shitty non-career jobs too. Trust fund kids don't need to become waitstaff or cashiers or whatever, so if you're poor and not attractive you're in a really bad place and are less able to afford to improve your looks to begin with. I've got a theory cooking in my noggin that relates this to certain crappy kinds of online sex work.

Within a certain age range it can definitely work. 10 year olds for instance, have enough composure to enjoy posing and taking pictures with their friends and playing along with the maids. I know people have tried to set up maid cafes here in the US and they always fail because they are too weebish and weebs try to avoid spending money. With careful branding, updated uniforms and food that is festive enough I think it could work. The food would need to be at least OK in taste but needs to look cute and photograph well and have some element of interactivity where the maids prepare the meal at the table for the kids and other partygoers. The site would be selling food at other times for other customers of course but the branding would be based on the party services. I wouldn't call it a maid cafe though, more like a dessert bar or dessert cafe (where the waitstaff happen to have maid-like uniforms), all the food and drinks are cute and super feminine. I actually think they would do better with Western women than men, "This is a space where our customers can indulge in cuteness and girlishness!". You'd have teen girls showing up to take pictures of the cutesy tablesettings and drinks and stuff as well as little old biddies who like lace and tea doilies. Don't hire weebs hire cute girls with social skills.

I've gotten the impression these places never hired exclusively especially attractive women, even a plain woman in a revealing outfit is more of a draw than a plain woman in a normal server's outfit. We had one of these nearby that has since shut down and the girls were all pretty normal looking, not unusually busty or unusually facially attractive but they acted enthusiastic and looked well groomed. I'm sure they still discriminate against thin women with acne, crooked teeth or eyeglasses.
