Believe it or not Cooks have a dangerous job in war. NO FUCKING JOKE. I did a year in Iraq and you know the on base Dfac was the fucking holy grail of mortar targets. Sure they'd land all over the place, but Dfac was heavily targeted.

You could tell when you noticed multiple times the tractor trailers holding the food sitting right next to it had their roofs bombed open. It started to make sense when I realized the line stretched OUT of the actual building, and although we had concrete barriers right next to us there was no actual cover. And once inside it was chill mode. weapons left in a corner, vests off, everybody cramped together in one big ass room with no walls/barriers between us. If one of those things managed to get in a lot of parents are getting some bad news.
