Blimpie is actually great. It took me forever to try it, since it's been across the street from Schlotzky's in my town forever.

It's not anywhere near good as Scholotzky's, but it's like a better version of Subway - their pink vinagrette sauce stuff is actually really good.

>> No.17062163

the subway sandwich artist is required to ask you that as part of a corporate-crafted spiel. it doesn't matter what's on the sandwich, they must always ask, no exceptions.
been like 10 years since I worked at a subway so I'm not sure what the current spiel is exactly but they still have one and so does every other fast food place.
most of my customers wanted their meat and cheese toasted with the bread, like a melt. almost no one ever just wanted the bread toasted by itself...

It's probably the version for Arabic/SEA Muslim countries. Google seems to say it's from Subway in Singapore, where there's a surprisingly sizeable Islamic population.
For whatever, kosher Subways never really caught on and Israel is one of the few countries that no longer has Subway locations. The company keeps begging them to reopen franchises but the Jews are having none of it.

As an aside, here's the ingredient list in pork-eating countries. Singapore doesn't seem to require ingredient information to be available online, so I don't have a cross-reference.

>> No.17063003

>>17061958
It pisses me off to no end that there's certain sandwiches you can only get at certain franchises thanks to their weird opt-in business structure. I think the falafel and the veggie patty are the biggest case of this; I know a Subway that serves them while the next closest one about six blocks away acts like they don't exist. Apparently some locations don't even serve roasted chicken or pizza subs.
Their falafels are actually pretty okay. Not a memetarian or anything, I just like the crusty little balls.

It's still not great lobster though....

Highest grade lobster is softshell-- this cant survive shipment- next grade (which is shipable stays in the local market or is shipped to places like china.)

Canning lobster is next...

Then foodservice- which is cooked, shelled, and packaged....these are lobsters missing claws, etc..
