why are americans disgusted by black pudding? most cultures worldwide have some form of blood sausage but it's mostly americans and third world esls who have an avoidance of eating anything with blood in it

Kinda sorta maybe. There's different types that differ a lot in how they hold together when heated. So be careful heating it so it doesn't disintegrate into a bloody mess. Maybe add some small cut bacon cubes as a contrast in flavor and texture. I think it could be nice with runny egg yolk, green onions and chiles, the usual fare heh.

Blood is basically the most nutritious part of the animal, and most prized by cultures that don't have a religious prohibition. The tricky part about blood is that, while it is the most nutritious, it also clots up and spoils the fastest. Thus blood must be eaten or processed into goods like black pudding almost immediately after slaughter. It's a little bit like the liver, which is prized by hunters and is often eaten very fresh right in the field, but when it's a few days old and has been sitting around in packaging at the grocery store for a while can get pretty nasty due to fast spoilage. Jewish blood taboos being imposed on American society aside, eating blood doesn't play very well with the extremely industrialized food systems set up with firms like Cargill, where they're shipping food all over the country and it might not be very fresh. Plus, it's a little dubious that one would even want to consume the blood of animals raised in horrendous factory farm conditions. Wanting beef that's pasture raised and grass-fed etc is always applicable, but especially so with the likes of blood or liver. tl;dr Americans are too poor for blood and offal, not the other way around
