the butter wont come in contact with water. there will be a air pocket between the butter and water as long as the butter is filled just short of the rim.

>Abstract
>The use of a butter crock to store butter is hypothesized to lead to faster spoilage of the butter due to the increased temperature and humidity levels in the butter crock. A study was conducted to test this hypothesis by measuring the spoilage rates of butter stored in butter crocks and standard butter dishes. The results of the study showed that the butter stored in butter crocks spoiled at a significantly higher rate than the butter stored in standard butter dishes.

Yeah.
The butter gets softer, but it is NOT perfect spreading consistency. The only way to achieve that is for the butter to be above room temperature.
I know this, because I tried one for a couple months, and went back to my old reliable standard butter dish. The most spreadable butter is softened by the woodstove for 20 mins.

They work fine but unless your kitchen is particularly hot all the time I don't really see the point, a regular old covered butter dish works just fine unless you're keeping your house hot enough to fully melt the butter which would be insane.

I've been using a plain clear glass covered dish for years and never had an issue with butter going off before it got used, even with the same stick sitting out for a couple weeks or more at times. If my kitchen got more light than it does I'd consider switching to an opaque dish to limit its exposure but what I've got works fine so I don't bother.

There is actually a way for the uninitiated to the magic eye to kinda see what is there (with simpler shapes) or at least THAT there is sth there.
Add the pic as a layer, add it aagain as another layer, shift that upper one to the left so that the pattern overlaps (just like you would do with your eyes), then hide and show that layer quickly over and over. You can now see in the jump the contours of the hidden figure. It's still not the same as the real thing, you cannot really make out details or the 3D effect, and for his his little crucified background dancers you will have to shift the layer again so the pattern overlaps at THEIR position.
But it gives you a rough idea and also showns you that there is indeed something there.

It was miasmas (bad air) they believed made food spoil and cause illness.
Considering the germs would come in contact with the food through the air in the end whether you know about them does not make a difference, every measure to keep bad air out also unknowingly keeps germs out, so that worked out nicely.

With the escaping air and pressure, it included bisection of his thoracoabdominal cavity, which resulted in fragmentation of his body, followed by expulsion of all of the internal organs of his chest and abdomen, except the trachea and a section of small intestine, and of the thoracic spine. These were projected some distance, one section being found 10 metres (30 ft) vertically above the exterior pressure door.
