I've tried it and it's not bad actually.

who said it was bad?

>> No.17489346

The only people who say it isn't haven't tried it. And for fuck sake, it needs melted cheese on top.

I only ever do this with leftover beans, but I have to add a couple fried eggs with a slice of cheese and some hot sauce.

Novice beans on toast eater here. Is it gay if I pour the beans on a bit at a time? It's difficult to eat toast overflowing with beans without dropping any or getting bean juice on the fingers.

It's a little bit gay, but not as gay as not liking beans on toast.

No, it's 100% the correct way to do it, the toast actually stays crisp too instead of going fucking soggy.

Also, for me? it's adding hot sauce and garlic to the beans.

Leftover from what?
What are you making from canned beans that you just have too many of them?

If you're doing the no cutlery method, spooning beans on is the way yes. But you have to get it right or else you'll have sticky fingers

The superior way is just laying those toast slices down and pouring that shit on. Let the bread soak up the juices.

ive made a toast sandwich before
gave the center slice a generous amount of salted butter and cracked pepper and the textural difference it gave between the soft bread slices was pretty nice
not looking to eat three slices of bread again though.

One time I had some extra fried onions and paprikas from something and I threw them into the beans while they were heating up, it was nice

How could anyone with the intention of eating beans with toast think it is going to be bad? I'm a Brit with European ancestry and it's pretty common to eat beans with bread to mop up the sauce and also scoop them up with. We just don't serve the beans on top of the bread because that stops you from deciding how soggy you want the bread.

I know a lot of people butter the bread first, which laminates it and creates a water proof layer, but I suppose Brits wanted something convenient more like a sandwich rather than to eat a main meal of beans with bread on the side.
