Mayo tomato sandwiches > butter tomato sandwiches but if you don't care for mayo, howsabout oil? A nice, small drizzle of olive oil is nice, too. I personally don't think butter works well with raw tomato, though it doesn't cause me any disgust. I just don't like that combo.

yeah oil is fine I guess, although not really necessary; tomato is enough for me. mayo, even the best bespoke homemade organic blah blah, it's all got this undercurrent of sulfur and the texture is too creamy to me. like creamy that doesn't melt, unlike butter -- it stays creamy all the way down to my belly. that is basically keto, zero carb is retarded. anything under 50g is considered low carb.
You will lose weight at 25g/day.
Something that isn't mentioned enough is the 8 hour eating window, from the first thing you ingest that is not pure water you need to have your last meal of the day within 8 hours (it's kinda why OMAD works so good for a lot of people) after that 8 hour window your body won't utilize the caloric intake as efficiently and will start to store it in your cells instead of burning it for energy
I have some keto'ish recipes i can post, not all of them are horrible

i'd say start with a small test batch to see if it works for you. My deep freezer is extremely cold -20f compared to a fridge/freezer combo so yours might not come out the same and i'd hate to give out bad advice.

I have a chest freezer but no idea how cold it gets. I bought it, lugged it down to the basement, plugged it in, set the dial and haven't touched said dial or plug since.
Pretty sure it's cold as fuck, though. Freezes quarts of skim milk PDQ. Thanks for the concern. If it sucks, no worries. Not like I'll be back in August seeking your head or anything.

Olive oil will absolutely work fine, though you may not like the strong taste of extra virgin. Pomace is better for that sort of thing, which is what I've used (or sunflower oil) or a blend of the two, pomace and extra virgin.

All fun cozy shit. Grab the popcorn, frozen pizza, whatever other snacks you want and get into episodic stories that come out more like cheap theater. I also recommend Are You Afraid of The Dark and Friday The 13th the TV series, which had fuckall to do with the movies and was just an anthology of weird stories.

I think people who grew up in stormy, dark and cold climates know how awesome this shit is. You look forward to shit weather after a while so you can eat shit food while watching cheesy horror.

To be fair, it is part of the recipe if you want to make an authentic Neapolitan or New York style pizza, which is what 90% of people who make them intend. Canned Italian tomatoes are also by far the most widespread, good quality tomatoes available across the Western world.

I'm not a big fan of ingredient pedigrees myself but this is one of the cases where it makes some sense.
