I've moved out of my parent's house and this is the first dish I've made
rice pilaf with beef meatballs (pre-made) in a sauce of white wine, slightly curdled milk and tomato sauce
I'm also at my third gin tonic and I think this doesn't look especially good but it's a big moment for me, so I thought I'd share it

Your clothes are gonna get wrinkles in them if you keep them in the dryer anon...

Also, where's your veggies? You'll become malnourished.

You don't use white wine in red sauce and you definitely don't use curdled milk in any kind of pasta sauce. You also generally don't serve meatballs and pasta sauce with rice.

Get a proper tablecloth and clean whatever is off to the right.
Also I highly recommend getting one (or more) of those Smart LED light bulbs. They sound fucking retarded but being able to control the white temperature means you can make any room as comfy as you want.

Nice work op, enjoy your moment and be proud of yourself. Did you mix the meatballs into the rice? Also how did it taste with the slightly curdled milk

>> No.17628681

>>17627443
It takes small steps I guess. Making meatballs from scratch is pretty simple. Maybe next time use some broth or bouillon cubes and a couple herbs and spices for the pilaf.

Looks alright. I'd eat it. Based taste in beverages, by the way. Don't drink too often alone. It's better with friends.
Congratulations on moving out. Now you have the opportunity to experiment with cooking.

>you don't use white wine in red sauce
see amatriciana, the town of Amatrice even has a recipe on their institutional website and it includes white wine
>you don't use curdled milk
yes that's my bad
>pasta sauce
what pasta sauce?
it's not like any tomato sauce is pasta sauce anon

I didn't, I took a bit of a meatball and some rice separately

Amatriciana doesn't use white wine or any wine at all
And if it's tomato based and going on meatballs then it was clearly meant to be a pasta sauce
