How often do you find yourself having to cross your fork and knife at a restaurant, /ck/?

can 100% guarantee you the server is paying zero attention to the position of your cutlery when they clear the table

This shit is wrong. You put your cutlery at 4 o’clock to indicate you’re done

Why is the fork on the left? Practically no one is left handed.

The cutting is the part that needs dexterity. The fork hand is just a stabilizer. Think about how a right handed person holds a violin: the left hand forks the strings and the right hand saws away

>Start
>Pause
>Finished
These work for everything, but the other 3 seem to conflict. Are Excellent and Did Not Like both "Finished" conditions, or are they equivalent to Next Dish?

I have never found a restaurant no matter how posh that knows what that is or any people that do them.

no it doesnt, its just back and forth. the eating hand requires more control,

Am I a freak for being able to do it with either hand? I don't bother switching for cutting and I can eat with my fork in my non dominant hand no problem.

>Switching
Nobody is saying you should switch hands with anything. The left hand stabs and eats while the right hand cuts. It's just like playing a violin.

my left hand does the cutting my right hand handles the fork, I can do it either way but i'm not wasting time switching which hand does what and loose time trying to fill my gaping maw.

I use the fork with my left and cut with the right. If I need to possible "switch" then rotate the steak with the knife and fork to give me the angle I need instead of wasting time switching hands
