IMO all the yi pin condiments suck ass. I don't know why smaller Chinese restaurants continue to buy boxes of this shit, maybe cuz it's just super cheap and they feel peer pressure as all the other places do it?

The soy sauce is the worst though. At least the duck sauce and spicy mustard have some resemblance to the real thing, but the soy sauce is legit brown colored salt water. Never seen Chinese-Americans eat this shit, only dumb blacks and whites that have never tried kikkoman or something.

From my understanding, a shitload of those tiny chinese places are basically a boiler plate business start up arranged for immigrants, in particular I think it was started for refugees from Vietnam back during the war. Anyhow, they almost all have the same menus and supplier, etc.
