Cheese product thread, not cheese thread. What do you personally use "singles" for?

i like them melted into scrambled eggs, in sandwiches with less than three total ingredients (bologna, tuna salad, fried egg, etc), on cheeseburgers, and with pic related. That's about it. Sometimes when I want some trashy nostalgia chow, I'll throw a couple in a mornay with some hotdogs, peas and a ramen brick.

Milk, cream, butter depending on the consistency I want. You can do solid craft singles all the way to semi liquid at room temp nacho cheese.

Grilled cheese sandwich. I also throw a slice otr two in cheap box mac and cheese

trailer trash mac 'n cheese. individually wrapped singles are worse than "deluxe" or deli style, which is what I prefer to use. grate in some real cheddar and some parm, then a few slices of american and it gets real goopy. some butter and milk help, and to cook the noodles risotto style with just enough water so you retain all the starch. I also recommend a little mustard and some black pepper.

I like it on crackers as a snack or as a cheese sandwich with some mayo, adding a couple of slices to your boxed mac is good too. though real cheese is superior for grilled cheese and anyone who disagrees is a retard

Nothing. They don't have a good cheesy melt with a nice stretch to it. They're so fucking useless it makes me angry.

>> No.18361304

>>18360514
They don’t stretch for sure, but they melt better than any other cheese out there.

Anyways, I usually buy higher end American and use it for grilled cheese, mac & cheese, burgers, and queso as I don’t have to start a roux if I use like 60% American. Not to mention it’s definitely goat for queso and faggots who use “real” cheese for their queso usually end up with a clumpy, gritty, broken excuse for queso.

A family member wanted to buy me mcdonalds burgers. To stick it to mcdonalds I chose the $2.39 double meat option without cheese instead of the $2.79 double cheeseburger option. I was going to microwave them at home anyway so I used two slices of my own cheese on each burger. Effectively I robbed mcdonalds of 0.80 cents in revenue, and all it took was clever planning on my part.
