Do you eat flax seeds? What do you put them in/on?

mmm I love copper

You need a small amount of copper in your diet and it's one of the first metals to get depleted, especially if you have to take zinc
I took a ton of zinc during two weeks to stop the spread and a bunch of my hair lost pigmentation, I quit zinc and started eating more liver and it started growing normally, but it took like 8 months

I make bread with a lot of various seeds

They soften up nicely in overnight oats which stops them from getting stuck between my teeth so much

Might as well start taking HRT if you want to transition anon. Same effect as those seeds.

I always thought that flax seeds tasted like linoleum smells then I found out linoleum is literally made of flax seeds so I was right all along.

Hate their horrid, plastic-y flavour.

I haven't smelled linoleum since childhood so that actually sounds like it could have a comforting nostalgic effect

And because of that, linoleum flooring is (or I should say was, as it's pretty much not made anymore) is naturally antiseptic and scratches are self-healing.

That's nice, but nobody should be eating fucking floor tiling unless they're Hansl and Gretl and they happen to come across a witch's house.

I just throw them in lots of stuff. Bit extra fiber can't hurt I imagine.

I find flax helps my joint inflammation but I don't always feel like cooking a whole meal to get it. So I put a tablespoon of the ground flaxmeal into a Lipton cup-a-soup and it goes down easy without affecting the flavor much.

Don't you need to crunch them up, they don't give any nutrients because the shell is harder than most seeds

Almost none of these supposed health benefits matter unless you buy ground flaxseeds which contain cyanide, literally rat poison. Even then...
>high in omega 3s
It only has ALA, which is the inferior plant-based of omega 3. A precursor that our bodies have to convert to DHA and EPA and conversion rate is low. Eating fish and even grass-fed dairy or beef is much better for that.
>iron
Plant-based iron is barely bioavailable. Beef has the real heme-iron that our bodies need.
>b vitamins
Not even the full b-complex like in meat.
>antioxidants
All inferior to the ultimate antioxidant glutathione that is found in meat. Antioxidants found in seeds are there to prevent oxidation of oils and nutrient depletion within that seed.
>anti-viral, anti-bacterial
If it kills viruses and bacteria it will also kill you. The "it kills only the bad bacteria" theory is bullshit.
>phytoestrogens
lol
>lignan
Polyphenols are plant-defence chemicals. Capsaicin is also a polyphenol and it's purpose is to stop you from eating that seed (fruit). I highly doub there is any benefit from eating them.
>high in fibre
This is an oxymoron to the supposed high nutritional value of flaxseeds. Fiber is undigestable and so are the nutrients encapsulated within.
>burns fat
Yeah, because you're eating mostly undigestable seeds, even when ground.

>> No.19122243

>>19120569
I buy them already crushed. I guess crushing them myself is probably better though.

>> No.19122247

>>19121273
Plenty of foods contain cyanide. The body is really good at breaking it down when ingested in small amounts. Arsenic is more typical rat poison btw.

I eat 14g (three teaspoons) of crushed flaxseeds a day.
I put it in my oatmeal after I use a automatic coffee grinder to blend it.

I haven't noticed anything different.
Began eating it to help lower my blood pressure, but hasn't worked.
