These are very reminiscent of the original Taco flavor, but with more heat. Just trying to help my fellow Taco flavor nostalgiacs out.

I remember when these came out in the early 2000s. The bag looked like this. They had actual heat and I was actually sort of impressed with Frito-Lay for releasing a flavor like that.

... but of course they were neutered eventually. I'm sure it was because some wimpy assholes complained

I wish they would make like a Doritos version that actually looked like a mini taco, so you could scoop shit up with it, like cheese or beans or whatever you wanted!
If it was up to me, I'd call them Fritos. Like a shortened form of FrIed doriTOS.

For a meme, it's significantly less confusing than "based"
It's not exactly hard to figure out what wala is supposed to mean

Based comes from "freebase", which is a name for crack cocaine. To be "based" means "to be on crack". A crackhead who loves being on crack, would thus love being "based", so it just means "good" or "that's awesome".

Yeah, no. From what I can tell, it means something different to every person that hears it. It is somehow less concrete than the word "fuck" which is used in a multitude of various situations and contexts. The term "lulz" had more staying power.

You're wrong. It was originally popularized by rapper Lil B, and that's what he said the word meant. /b/ liked Lil B, who called himself "TheBasedGod". /b/ took to calling everything they approved of as "based", just like Lil B was using it.

It means "on crack", and by extension, "good". It's very funny that /pol/ owes it's biggest slang word to a crack cocaine abusing African-American rapper.

I suppose, in a way, it makes sense that whenever people are asked to define "based," the inevitable answers are basically a bunch of bix nood. I lost a lot of respect for members of certain "allegedly" fascist movements when based became a part of their vocabulary. It made me feel like I was a part of something retarded like a KKK chapter that had been thoroughly infiltrated by another 3 letter agency.

You're kind of right but you're missing a few steps of logic. Based originally meant cracked out with a negative connotation. You would call somebody a basehead to call them crazy, or say an idea was based to mean crazy/retarded. Lil B "reclaimed" this word and asserted that it was actually good as one of the earliest works of post-irony. He called himself based, gay, a faggot, lesbian, and a pretty bitch, among other claims. See also the 2011 lil B album "I'm Gay". Based just caught on in the general public to mean "good" because unlike those other words, it was not known to most people before its "reclamation."

>> No.19332726

>>19331913
Dude it's just a funny word. I suppose you also refuse to use the word "cool" to mean good because it was also dreamt up by blacks? I'm not claiming to be a fascist but this degree of strict autism is really cringe (and not based)
