They were going for the pe first because pe is sweeter than coca. But you can see that all the syrup sank to the bottom, so most of what they were tasting was water with a little bit of sugar. It was just dumb luck that one of the ants happened to get a taste of the syrup on the bottom layer of the coca before the pe, at which point they tell all their friends they found the good shit. In a more controlled setting pe would always win because it contains more sugar and those are fucking ants.
