Yes this is for advanced civilizations only, for those who can order 10€ digital scale on aliexpress which has wfunctiin "Tare" on it. So when you bake you just put bowl from your stand mixer on it and pour in ingredients.
Then after each measurement, you press that button and the scale magicaly zeroes itself so you dont need to make additions in your head. Or use any other measuring device which than needs to be cleaned.

And it will, forever boggle my mind, why in gods name would someone who needs things like dishwasher, scowl at.
