Does KFC sell biscuits and gravy in bulk? Looking for like 40 biscuits and enough gravy to go with them.

They're a business that sells food. What do you think?

Call in advance and place an order. Try not to do it during lunch or dinner hours when you think they will be busy.

Actual Conversation at a KFC (me in green text)
They had "Come in for a 24 piece bucket" on the sign out front
>>Hi, I'd like to get a 24 piece bucket and...
Do you have a coupon?
>>Um, no...
I can't sell a 20 piece without a coupon.
>>Ya, I will pay full price...
I'm not allowed.
>>What's the largest bucket you CAN sell me?
18.
>>Then I'll take an 18 piece bucket and 4 more pieces of chicken in a box.
I'll have to go get my manager sir.
(manager now)
We can't sell you a 24 piece without a coupon.
>> Ya, I get that, but you can sell me an 18 piece and a 4 piece right?
*long pause as he looks at me like I'm trying to cheat him*
I guess we can...
>>You know what, there's a Arby's next door, I'll go see what they can do for me. Have a great day.

It's pretty easy, but I would lower your standards on your first batch. They won't be perfect by any means.

At my nearest KFC, you probably couldn't. Not because of ingredients or rules or anything like that, but because the staff are Indians who can't speak any English and get mad at you like it's your own fault you can't speak Punjabi.

>> No.3732314

The only place I see Indians where I live is at Subway. I've never walked into a Subway around here that didn't have at least one Indian guy behind the counter.

>> No.3732325

>>3732314
Over here, Indians work in EVERY fast food place except Burger King and McDonald's.

They've dominated Wendy's, A&W, Subway, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Domino's, Quizno's, Tim Horton's, etc.

I rarely get my order correct unless the worker is white-washed (usually a high school or college student who was locally born), or I have some reasonable control over it (such as Subway, where they make the food in front of me).

I am in awe of the Indian guy who owns the local 711. He somehow manages to run a store quite well and work a job in call center on his bluetooth earpiece at the same time.

>> No.3732347

>>3732325
It's mostly just the Subway here. In fact...I don't think I've ever seen an Indian outside of a Subway. I don't go out much though. As for the other restaurants, it's a mix of white/black depending on where you live in the area. That must be frustrating though. I'd think the store managers would hire workers that have a better grasp on the language.

>> No.3732353

>>3732347
Funny story, my friend was hired through reverse affirmative action. The Wendy's staff was all-Indian, and my friend was the only white guy. Apparently corporate was breathing down their necks pretty hard.

Didn't America pass the point of whites not being the majority anymore. I don't think people should be hired just because of their race or any other discriminatory thing, but I can't say I wouldn't accept the job. Need one bad.

>> No.3732371

>>3732360
I live in Canada, and functionality of affirmative action is dubious.

It usually happens in places with a large corporate structure (such as fast food chains and major retailers). And they can work in white people's favor if the staff is almost exclusively non-white.

They seldom work in smaller businesses, though. That's why you almost never see white people working in sushi restaurants, and why you almost never see Asians working in white-owned automotive shops

You're acting like it's terrible difficult to simply combine meals onto a single ticket.
You can order 2 buckets, several different chicken combos, chicken combos and buckets together, it's not advanced particle physics, it's ordering fast food.

>> No.3734244

I wonder if kfc has a catering menu. Lots of places do (panera, subway, etc) and they might have some biscuit deal.

I know they have, at least, like a 5+ biscuit box. No reason why OP couldn't order a bunch of those and a few large gravy sides.. they might make him wait a few minutes to cook it all up but it's not like he's ordering 10 buckets of chicken.

I know you're not responding to the OP. Read it again without that in mind.

I've actually had to deal with this before, and there is always an option to sell an item and give it a price.

In grocery stores, I've seen them use the produce button. They tell the register that the unit price is incorrect, and to create a new one. For instance, the price for carrots is now $1.19/lb and the customer is buying 40 lbs. This is how they would sell you 40 biscuits if each one was $1.19.

But newer registers don't have to do that. You just select a CASH option and then put in the amount.

He said that the register might not even allow them to make the transaction. There are always alternatives.

There are tons of hispanics working jobs like that with bad english where I'm from, and we get along fine.
