What's with all these people putting vinegar-based hot sauces in their refrigerators? Am I missing something? I keep my Tabasco, Siracha, etc...all in my cabinets. I know it's not to prevent it from going bad, since it's fucking acidic and has chilis.

Vet student here. How long do you leave her uneaten wet food out? If it's out longer than 30 minutes, it can start growing microscopic fungus the cat's not immune to. Typically you should throw away uneaten food. Any wet food that's not used from the can needs to be sealed with either foil, one of those special can tops, or a tupperware container and IMMEDIATELY placed back in the fridge.

They dont use cows milk or water, just 100% goats milk, and its completely silky, just holy fuck words can describe, anyway, they also make their own raspberry ice cream sauce which is incredible within itself, and sell it from the vans they go round in, we bought some lol.

We dont really eat snow cones in the UK, unless like a slushy is similar? we have slushy machines in places like bowling alleys but not convenience stores like you seem to (or at least on TV)

occasionally I'll give them some grilled chicken breast chopped up or some fresh tuna or some shit for a treat.

I keep kibble around for my cat too, gives them a different texture/taste.

My cat did have IBS. We found out through trial and error that he was sensitive to beef, and he no longer has terrible litter box issues.

Fresh meat is really good for them. You can even give them raw chicken that's fresh and been rinsed. They're sensitive to fungus, not salmonella or meat bacteria. Once or twice a week I'll give my cat a raw chicken wing or neck to chew on. That's another bonus about raw meats--the bones are soft enough to chew and don't splinter, and thus don't have choking hazard. Also keeps their teeth clean.

Your cat might just be sensitive. Is there anything you've tried that's gotten relative success? Grain-free? Perhaps a certain meat he's really irritable with?

But seriously, I'm stumped why people put the hot sauces in the fridge. I like cold ketchup, so that's why I put mine in the fridge...but I really don't understand the appeal of cold hot sauce.

Most brands like Science Diet, IAMS, some Purina, Friskeys, Meow Mix, etc... are actually bad for the cat. It's the equivelent of eating fast food for every meal, every day. Especially if the only meats in it are chicken by-product meal, and the first ingredient is corn. Even Whiska's wet foods are better for the cat than that.

Good brands, like Wellness, Blue Buffalo, Pure Vita, EVO, and Royal Canin are good dry foods for cats, but are fucking expensive.

A lot of cats also don't drink water like they should. This leads to UTIs. Wet food supplements water in their diet. In bulk, wet food can be cheaper than dry.

Most condiments, eggs, bread, and things can live in cupboards. Only things that will spoil in hours or days in a warm environment need to go in the fridge, like vegetables, milk and open jars of sauce.
