>Last summer.
>Went to some random stand in farmer's market.
>Hutterite dude with one of his daughters.
>Sees me looking at the honeycomb on the side.

He told me the best way to eat honey was to break off a piece of fresh honeycomb, wax and all, and chew it like gum. Shit was delicious.

Favourite recipe using honey?

I'd do it just to try it. I went into a health foods store to try and find some. All I got was a lady asking if I worked there even though I was wearing a blue DC shirt and all the workers weird green aprons.

They sell them at one of those weekend farm markets that are now super popular in my city. I'll get one of those from a legit source instead of that grocer, and the price is pretty much the same. Still, so fucking expensive. I bought some really awesome honey last year, in a small jar, idk maybe like 200g and it was also close to $10. Ate it all with a spoon actually over the next few weeks. So much better than commercially sold.

Add some water
Boil
Let cool
Add yeast in a valved bottle.
Drink in 3 to 3 million months
Tastes delicious.

Also good is with some cinammon on a tortilla. Its a sopapilla without dealing with a fryer.

Greek yogurt + honey + honey wheat germ or slivered almonds + Goya passion fruit jam. Swirl on top to mix honey with the nuts, enjoy a little in each bite.

FAVORITE HONEY is orange blossom.
Most exotic favorite is lychee or avocado honey, but not in a sweet context, more with a cheese plate.

I've often wondered what bees would think if they understood that we eat their buildings, enslave their queen (which often isn't even their 'real' queen to begin with) and eat their vomit by the tons each year?

Do you think the bees would be pissed off... or proud of their work?

this.
Bees are very smart, especially for arthropods, but they don't feel pride or shame, and they don't understand the nature of our relationship--they aren't even domesticated, they just happen to fare well under the conditions of human management. In that regard they are like symbiotes unaware they are benefiting from the big white creatures that smoke their houses and sometimes steal their hoarded food, but they DO benefit, and so they stay with us.
