Does /ck/ have experience with pot racks?

I'd like to get one to free up some of my limited cabinet space, but am having trouble deciding what kind to get. A bar, a bookshelf-style, or half-circle one? I have 36"+ on the wall I'd hang it on, but am not sure I need one that large since I don't have a ton of things to hang.

Any and all advice appreciated.

PS: We should actually do that NY /c/oo/k/ing Club some time.

Heres a pretty cheap idea.
Just a block of wood, a couple chains and some little hooks for your pans.

Ghetto as hell, but i'd do it if I had the kitchen space.
Sadly I just got a little galley-type of kitchen in my apartment.

I second this. If your ceiling is high enough that you won't need to duck your pans, hanging utensils are really appealing. You can also hang metal spoons, whisks, piping tips, and even bags of onions, garlic, fruit, etc from them.

Man, drawing is fucking hard.

So the sink is in the corner, there are cabinets above, and to the left and right there is space to use cutting boards (brown things). To the right is the stove (bottom in picture), a hood is above that, and on the left there's a counter along the wall with nothing above it, and far left is a fridge.

The wall above the counter is where I'm thinking of hanging something, It'd pretty long, about four feet or so. Under it I have two stools (that are too tall so I'm just going to donate them), and a trash can. The counter is about 13" depth.

Depends on the kitchen really. I bought a bunch of these:

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20213538/

Then just got lots of of hooks. My pots and pans hang and sit against the wall, along with some utensils and other equipment. I also have a shelf too, easy to hang stuff from this as well:

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00011428/

Depends if you have the wall space though. But it's a really cheap way of doing it, and it can look pretty sharp.

First of all, I could easily find him, I know the area he lives in, and the street he lives on. Finding him would take only about half an hour, (assuming he was actually at home)

secondly, I'd want to give those stools to the homeless kids in union square, I feed them some cookies i made yesterday and I'm handing them some frittatas i helped make in class today. I think if they had some stools at least one of them could make a make shift tent and not worry about the rain one night.

moot isn't that hard to find if someone really wants to find him. I was just saying that if i wanted to meet him i would just go and meet him. while lurking /q/ Someone confirmed again that he still lives in that particular area.

Sorry i know this, sorry i used it in my defense.

>Finding him would take only about half an hour, (assuming he was actually at home)

he does work on canv.as drawquest and other stuff. He's pretty busy.

would i actually go out of my way to hunt him down just to say hi?

No,

would i go out of my way to find him if i really needed to
>Seeing as how there's no fucking reason for me to ever need him,, the answer is still no. Although if i ever wanted to see if i could find him just to say hi or ask if i could buy a pass off of him with cash, then yeah I might try and find him. It would be rude, insensitive and maybe a little scary for him, but the community is kinda tight knit over there, so i doubt anyone would just point him out, although i could get lucky. He probably wouldn't open the door and then if he did, He doesn't know who i am, so asking him to buy a pass off of him with cash would likely scare him and make him flip shit.
that's not how you make friends man.

He and I don't really have all that much in common, similar sense of humor, we both like 4chan, (I'm interesting in cooking, i guess he is too) we both like manga and anime (But i think he reads and speaks japanese, I don't) He doesn't play video games while i love video games.

I think it'd be weird for me to try and force a relationship on him as friends when we don't have a shit ton in common. We could hang out and do stuff together, but He's pretty normal. (as in bland)

I don't think it was creepy because i said it because you called me a weirdo. You're on 4chan too you know.

You probably already know everything I'm going to say, moot, but please listen.

You need to get a restraining order, first thing, against this tetra. I always assumed he lived somewhere in Africa or SE Asia, and trolled /ck/ from some tsetse fly ridden internet cafe, but if he actually resides in NYC, you should consider him a legitimate threat.

Secondly, tetra is literally the only bad tripfag on /ck/. He is not representative of this board, and this thread made me realize how happy I am that Sceak is alive.

Clearly you have no idea who i am.

My information has been public for a while, even way back in 2010 people knew who i was and where i was. No one gives a shit.

>He is not representative of this board

there are no board representatives except janitors.

No one represents a board.

>implying you weren't responsible for the shitstorm towards the beginning of this year...
I wasn't, was told not to join this year's event talked with hearts, told again, apologized and encouraged to join next year. There wasn't a shitstorm this year with the exception of the sticky.

In line extention makes it so it wasn't even needed, and i never lurked /ck/ prior to this year so i didn't know how fast (or slow) the board was. because of that I got called out for it and the rest is history.

>how happy I am that Sceak is alive.

why do you guys shit on Sceak he's a good person, I've rarely seen him shitposting, He gives out useful advice sometimes and seems like a pretty cool person to me.

My current apartment has a rack above the sink and corner. Just some generic cheap metal one. We got hooks to hang spatulas and serving spoons and such on them. Also saran and aluminum foil. I got lower shelves in the pantry closet, so I toss my cereal on. Plus we also have cutting boards up there.

It is nice to have the extra stoage space.

Why not compromise and get something like pic related?

Find something that can fit under you counter (yeah, I know, 13" or whatever isn't much to work with), and has (locking) wheels for easy moving.

You can both store shit on it and pull it out for extra counter space. I'm probably going to get one of these in the near future (moving and all), and having one with the top shelf as a cutting board sounds amazing.

Just get yourself a bench scraper to clean it off.

On the one hand, whatever kind of hat is in your pic (and everywhere anytime "fedoras" are mentioned on 4chan), that is not a fedora (a trilby?).

It's pretty clear he's a compulsive liar. He's laid claim to everything from staging at WD50 and being complimented by Thomas Keller (while apprenticing at the French Laundry!) to being homeless. At this point I'm not sure if he's lying about going to culinary school or if he goes but never reads anything. The brunwah mistake was the outstanding one but there have been several other painful misspellings that someone a month into culinary school simply couldn't make.

He also keeps making variations of his tripname/tripcode, he's had at least half a dozen since he began gracing us with his presence. I don't know if that's to confuse us or... I don't know, actually. I think the earliest name he used was In/q/uisitor Koiwoi or something like that, and he made some threads about finding moot a /ck/ girlfriend.

I said that I felt your heart was in the right place and that we would see. So far I haven't seen any evidence to feel like you won't cause another shitstorm. And you did cause a lot of issues at the beginning, like with the whole "where is the drink?" thing. I also suspect the sticky was your doing and all that did was draw a lot of intense people out of the woodwork, half of whom seemed to make it their mission to bombard me with angry emails whenever someone got eliminated. At any rate, like I mentioned in the last Challenge thread, I'm not sure I'm going to be doing the competition next year.
