I should have said more than that. It's fruity and sweet, due to the canned peaches, but salty and really hot, due to the, well, salt, and hot peppers.

Texas Pete's is shit and its not made in Texas. They do it in Carolina or some shit. As for a good sauce that every store sells, El Yucateco, some varieties of Tabasco, (red, habanero), Cholula, Daves Insanity is good for a super-hot. Hot sauce is sort of localized and like craft beer though. I could name several dozen that are far better than those I just mentioned, but if you don't live in my state or even in my city you'd never see them. Also no hot sauce is good on everything. Each has its use, and its use is highly subjective. Frank'sFags, go suck on it. It is not good on everything. IMO it is actually very low on the rungs and is to be used on shitty Little Caesars pizza, and even then there are sauces that I'd rather put on shitty pizza. Tabasco habanero comes to mind.

Sorry for late responses, interesting hot sauce collection and hot sauce recipes.

I've tried Cholula, but I.. I think it's bland... Or maybe the one I tried (at a mexican joint... oh the contamination!!) was just weird. I've bought something similar before; GOYA salsita habanero hot sauce. It was really fucking good, but I can never find it any where.

I won't butt heads with you here, this is true. Tabasco is actually a quality sauce though, in comparison to other Dollar General tier sauces that can be bought anywhere. Tabasco isn't near the greatest, and you can find that shit anywhere. But for a hot sauce you can get anywhere it is probably the best. It has a distinct flavor and enhances a lot of shit, red Tabasco is decent. I usually buy my hot sauces from places other than Wal Mart so I have a stash of shit better than Tabasco, but for a condiment stocked at most restaurants its pretty good.

And I'm not insecure about shit, I have no pride. I'm just stating facts here.

Yes, it is almost straight vinegar. Delicious, spicy, oak barrel aged vinegar. And I use it as I would use a vinegar. It is very different than other Louisiana hot sauces. I like it though and have come to terms with the fact that it does actually have it's uses. People hate on it because its everywhere, but it has its purpose and it isn't complete shit. Tabasco is distinct. Whereas Crystal, Franks, Texas Pete, Louisiana, Trappey's, Great Value, etc etc etc are all basically the same fucking thing. Correct me if I am wrong. But there is Louisiana style hot sauce, which consists of all those ones I just typed. And there is Tabasco, which isn't really like any of those ones I just typed.
