Ohai,

I am looking into buying an Espresso Machine but everything that I found was very expensive.

I am allergic to coffee (1) and only drink it occasionally so I am not looking for something really high end, just a regular espresso machine with grinder and steam wand.

Any good brand to recommand or advice when shopping for espresso machine ?
Would be highly appreciated !

Cheers.

(1) : I only discovered recently that I am allergic to coffee. I am a huge fan of coffee and used to drink it a lot (morning coffee, coffees after meals, coffee to taste ...). It gives me a lot of acne but a cup from times to other is still bearable.

Lol, no, you're not allergic to it. What you're describing (acne) is not an allergic reaction.

Allergic reactions have very specific symptoms: redness, itching, and swelling where the allergen contacted your body. That's why food allergies are dangerous: swelling in your mouth and throat can prevent from from breathing.

If you were allergic to coffee then whenever you drank it your mouth, tongue, and throat would start itching nearly instantly and then you'd start having a rash and/or hives inside your mouth and throat--basically wherever the coffee touched your body. If you got coffee on your skin then you would get a rash where it touched you, just like poison ivy. Poison ivy rash is an allergic reaction to urushiol, a chemical present in the plant.

You might have some kind of problem with coffee, but it's not an allergy that's for sure.
