I want to bring a Ziplock bag of cucumbers into the restaurant I'm eating at alone tonight.
They are from a farmers market.
How awful would it be to sneak bites in between mussels?
I don't want to pay five dollars for a salad that may not be what I dreamed of.
Please Respond.

I'm pretty sure that's against the rules.

if this restaurant has half-decent serving personnel, they'll give you your fucking cucumbers if you ask for them.

don't make an ass of yourself by bringing cucumber in a fucking ziplock bag. It'll turn to spaghetti halfway through the meal anyway, so be careful not to drop it.

Don't be that cunt. You wanna eat your own food, eat at home, it's basically a slap in the face to the owners and kitchen staff otherwise.

Order your food to go if you want to do stuff like that. Or eat the cucumbers in your car before you go in.

When I go to red lobster i bring in my own french dressing because they stopped using it in their restaurants, they really dont care unless you bring in like a full lunch and dont order anything

Part of the glory of mussels is the serving dish.
It's so large! How would they fit all dem mollusks into one takeout container?
I'd be suspicious of receiving less than normal and wish for more. ;_;
I don't have a car to eat them in and it's best to have salt and pepper cukes in between, trust me

This would be very peculiar behavior in the US. It may violate local health codes, so they may ask you to put it away if caught, but probably the waitperson will make a polite, condesceneding comment, and all the other employees will laugh at you behind your back. If neither of those outcomes bother you, then go for it.

OP is an awful person.

As a former restaurant cook, I would be offended, as would your server who is paued based on your purchases.

Why don't you just eat the cucumbers at home before you go out?

Take all cucumbers and insert one into each of your holes.

>> No.4767659

I think if you put them in a tupperware, and had that as a side, not a salad course, without making a fuss, it'd be more about "I'm on a special diet" or "theyare from my garden and I am leaving town tomorrow" and offer a bite. Make sure you don't use their condiments.

Of course if you don't behave cheaply, otherwise, ordering a starter, soup, wine and dessert., or even a second item to takeout for your lunch tomorrow, all the better.

you should eat better cukes anon. I also like them with some red wine vinegar.

OP, this would straddle the line between severe social ineptitude, and neurological impairment/mental illness. "Sneaking bites" would really stand out as bizarre. If you are suffering from an impairment, then good job on being able to go to restaurants, but you really shouldn't bring your own food. Either gamble on their crappy salad, or go without. Enjoy your meal!
