I have a purifier for drinking water, got it for free too. I used to just boil some water in my kettle, fill up a bottle and stick it in the fridge but tap water ain't bad, I still drink it.

Best fucking investment of my life: Brita pitcher. Better than the faucet variety because the faucet ones are always getting some wear on the filter from the water you run through them, even if it's just for washing dishes and shit. I live in Chicago and the water is clean but chlorinated to shit so this filter REALLY helps.

Tap water is highly dependent on where you live. For example here at home my tap water tastes excellent, but I went out to visit a relative out in the country, not middle of the woods country but still a bit out. And the water there really tasted like metal. Like someone had bled in the water. It's hard to explain, but it certainly wasn't a subtle metal taste.
