Anchovy and Soda

If only it still had anchovy.

I don't understand the ordering system. You order a cheese pizza for 1.50, add green pepper for .20, and then it's 1.70, or order a green pepper pizza for 1.75?

>> No.5526404

anchovy and onion

sometimes, it's best to just think of the the things that will smell the most pungent on your breath and go for the gold

It applies to adding to the pizzas that already have something on them other than cheese
e.g. adding mushroom to sausage

>> No.5526413

>>5526405

Ok, so if you want a sausage and green pepper pizza, you should order a green pepper pizza with added sausage for 1.95, rather than a sausage pizza with added green pepper for 2.20?

Why does a pizza place need burgers.

They had a grill just to serve burgers. If you're going to a pizza place get pizza.

You bet yer sweet ass I did. My sister had one of those pink princess phones when she turned 18. Mom and dad had to lay down ground rules for a land line. Cant call any boys. No staying up past 8pm on a school night. God those were the days.

How did those numbers work anyway? What's the "KE"? At first glance it seems to resemble a regular phone number if you swap in numbers for letters, KE 2-9800 = 532-9800. But no area code. Ok now I'm confused

>> No.5526979

>>5526421

I think that was a Hamburger Pizza.

However, it doesn't hurt to have something else for those who don't like or can't eat pizza. Would you rather they go elsewhere or just sit there and not eat?

>> No.5526982

yeah ground beef, and anchovies, were popular toppings back in the day, you can see them on other old pizzeria menus.

you can still get beef at a lot of places, hell even Totino's frozen pizza has a Hamburger variety. it's not my first choice though and I don't know why it would have been popular. it's not the most flavorful topping.

>Did you ever have a party line?! We had a party line when I was a kid.

We had a party line with all four numbers on the party line. It was less expensive than getting a private line.

So we had four different telephone numbers.

However, we lived (I still live) in a community near the border of two states with telephone service from the other state.

Back then, the telephone equipment was less capable then today. You could use either area code with your telephone number and it couldn't tell the difference. The numbers in one state used one prefix and the numbers in the other state used another prefix. You could actually use either prefix as well.

So four telephone numbers x choice of two prefixes x choice of two area codes = sixteen different combinations of area code, prefix, number to dial the house.

Until a few years ago, after dialing a long distance number, the operator would come on the line and ask what number you were dialing from so that they could bill it correctly.

Thats exactly right. For the longest time you didnt need an area code to call those numbers.

How old do you have to be to remember a phone number like that?

>> No.5527725

It wasn't until 1996 or 97 that you had to dial an area code here in Pittsburgh. They split 412 into 412 and 724 at that time. At the time I was working Help Desk for a company with about 500 employees. We went through hell making sure the PBX was ready for the transition.

I know my old branch exchange. It was SPruce, 77, as in SPruce 5-0000 or 775-0000, but that is about a decade or so before my time.

Wait... you still don't need an area code for local calls, do you?
