what're you addicted to recently?

i've been eating a fuckton of chopped up, pickled jalapenos... especially when it's mixed with cream cheese or goat cheese paired with crackers.

Beans. Pic related. Figured out the best ratio of water to beans and cooking time to always get them ending up thick like a stew. 7 cups of water for every pound of beans, simmered for about 3 hours, and they all have different textures and flavors that go well with different things.

I used to like these, but I've started to taste the disgusting pickle juice more and more. It's the same reason I've always hated pickles, but I love them raw.

I put pickled jalapenos on toast with cream cheese.

Also

>put it in oven
>take out when done
>put some mayo on two slices of toast
>put fish sticks inbetween those slices

a Peruvian dish called Lomo Sataldo. Recently ate with some Peruvian friends and they made it, best food I've ever eaten. I reccomend everyone try it.

Oatmeal, strangely.

I started cooking it more like couscous and it comes out chewy and delicious. Boil 1 cup milk, stir in 1 1/2 cups oats, let it sit off the heat for 5 minutes. Top with stuff you like.

Also been trying to find the perfect sweet and sour cabbage dish for a while.

So, yeah. I've been shitting like a rock star.

Oatmeal is awesome. I add yoghurt to mine (no milk) when it's done cooking.

The other day I made oatmeal with cinnamon, ginger, raisins, and a touch of maple syrup, It needed some freshness so I added finely shredded carrot. Tastes like straight carrot cake
