if your sauce is so sweet and volatile that you don't want to soak it up in bread then its probably not a good sauce

just throw a can of jellied cranberry sauce in your marinara and you will end up with a sweet sauce that doesnt cook down into caramel

I've had this and tried it...It's delicious and a really easy meatball recipe for casual dinner potlucks. You just leave the thing on while you go to work and pick it up before you have to leave. The meatballs soak in their own juices and you don't taste whatever fake grapes they put in the jelly it just turns out as a viscosity thing for the sauce.
