Serious question, but what is your personal hygiene like? Do you brush at least twice every day? You're SUPPOSED to floss once a day. I know it all SOUNDS trivial, but it matters. Take it from someone whose spent over 2 grand on dental (pretty much cavities).

Alcohol especially dehydrates you and dries out your mouth, which in turn stops the beneficial bacteria in your saliva from protecting your mouth. If you're an alcoholic you need to make sure you take care of your teeth and gums, believe me, I've paid the price.

I posted in here a couple of weeks ago. Over 30 days sober now. I lost partial feelings in my legs: alcoholic neuropathy; i was drinking just under a handle of vodka for about a year, and was still a heavy drinker for about 7 years prior.

That shit will wake you up hard and fast. Thankfully I stopped upon waking up and saying wtf is wrong with my legs. It is coming back, slowly. God help me if I somehow slip back...that shit is permanent very quickly.

A lot of the people that sell weed in NY aren't professional, they're crackheads and meth addicts, therefore unreliable cunts. It's easier to just not smoke it then to deal with them. To deal with professionals I'd have to buy in quantity and that's a pain in the ass too.

Today was the first time I ever had to miss work because of drinking. Went out for what was supposed to be a quiet dinner with a couple of friends, ended up drinking til three in the morning, slept right through my alarm, didn't wake up until noon.

I'm attempting to quit, however, I am unable to sleep. I haven't been tired since my last drink which was about a day ago. I took some melatonin that usually helps but it did nothing.

I'm also a little anxious because of the terrible sleep, dreams, and ridiculous amount of sweating I would get when I quit before. Can anyone who has been sober for a while recommend anything?

Don't get me wrong I rarely go more than two days out of 7 without drinking but usually it's a craft beer or two and no more than 5 shots except on Saturday where I go hard. Been trying to quit drinking all year, but I often cave in to the urges and go on 5 day to one week benders, drinking until I can no longer hold anything down due to gastritis and then I quit again (usually lasts a few days to a week). I also have a dull pain right in the center of my abdomen under my breastbone that I think is an ulcer. Anybody else know these feels? Been about 8 days since I stopped drinking. The withdrawals subsided for a few nights.

Now for the last 2 nights I've been dealing with a pounding heart and sharp bursts of vertigo when I'm trying to sleep.

I drink most nights. "Drink" being relative, of course. I get somewhere between buzzed and tipsy, but I usually have enough so that it starts to impair motor function, which prevents me from indulging in one of my only hobbies, drawing.

Anyways, drinking is fun, I love the numb feeling I get, but not so much the lack of coordination. On a more /ck/-related note, should I get a crock pot? They seem useful for people who want to cook their meal while they're at work.

I feel almost too tired to drink tonight, but still am anyway.
