I feel awful. I'm the on the last day of a fourteen day bender. Drunk from the minute I wake up until I pass out three or four times during the day. Vacation is over so I have two days to sober up. I"m so dreading tomorrow. I already can't really eat and am shitting water. I was semi smart this time. The last four days I switched from vodka to wine so the hangover won't be so bad. About twelve hours from now I will wake up and feel like a end stage cancer patient. The only thing I'm looking forward to is that I can fap again.

I'll keep it in mind. A buddy of mine just moved o Cleveland actually so that could happen soon. The Sweetwater IPA is probably their best year round beer. It's not incredible but always good. So I bought a bottle of maker's mark and have been sipping it throughout the day. I still don't love it or anything, but some of the aftertastes are nice. I plan on continuing through the week to see if I can become familiar with the taste and gain a decent appreciation for it.

>Most "good" bourbon I've had tastes too strongly of alcohol for me.

That might just be because with higher end bourbons high proof is pretty common.

Look at the label, and don't expect 125 proof to drink like 95 proof straight out of the bottle.

It's more than just the alcohol content though, I've had 80 proof liquor taste like turpentine and 90 proof taste like water. Maker's Mark vs. Bulleit is a good example bc they're the same proof, but Maker's Mark burns all the way down, not that it's necessarily a bad thing.

I'm not a connoisseur by any means, but I've just found scotch to be smoother and bourbon to be more intense in general.
