Where are you from?
When you feel like "pigging out", what do you eat?

>> No.6164900

I'm from London. When I want to pig out, I either want dim sum, burgers, kebabs, chicken wraps, or fish/chicken and chips which can be delivered to my house.

Brooklyn. When I want to pig out I get a group together and head for Chinatown (which is just a couple blocks away from me). We hit one of those places with all the Chinese BBQ hanging in the window. Order duck, char shiu and crispy skin roast pork, along with rice and greens (either water spinach or snow pea leaves) in garlic for the table. And beers.

An hour later I can pick up the check, because it works out to be under $15 per person even with beers.

>Where are you from?
I'm from Texas (living in California)
>When you feel like "pigging out", what do you eat?
When I want to gorge myself, it's usually Indian, Burmese, Mexican, Lebanese, or Chinese. Oh, and sometimes German food or BBQ, but I have to make that myself because there's no decent German or BBQ restaurants where I live.

for a dinner, will usually make a vat of chili and have it with rice or wraps with plenty cheddar. if too lazy to cook, probably a pizza or fish&chip

if I just feel like eating something crap, will get a large bag of cheese curls or doritos and a bag of jelly babies/pastilles (usually in that order)

Chick-fil-a sucks ass. Ive been there 5 times now. One because of curiosity, 4 due to friends. It was always shitty and overpriced. Why is that place so popular? I'd rather get a McChicken.

Usually toast. I put two rounds of bread in the toaster at a time and each pair I choose a different spread.
If I'm craving meats then I go for finger food, usually chinky spare ribs, mini sausage rolls, or a big bag of Bombay mix.

>> No.6166471

Kentucky.

When I get the late-night food cravings I make a playlist of food/travel shows or episodes of a comedy that I know has lots of food in it (say, The Chinese Restaurant episode of Seinfeld). Then, I slowly fry bacon until it's crisp, but, not dry. Pepper that and eat it slowly. Then, I slowly dice onions and peppers, reheat the bacon fat left in the pan and fry a 2 or 3 egg omelette with those and some cheddar cheese. I wait awhile and, if I'm still hungry I'll eat an orange.

That, in itself, isn't pigging out to me. It's that I do this when it's late at night and can't sleep and it's a cycle that continues over hours, with the cravings being refueled by the food TV shows. Each cycle has changes, but, it's mostly anchored to typical breakfast foods. Because I never just eat a whole big meal on one plate, it's like "edging" with food. I eat a portion of a meal at a time, wait a bit, and take my time drawing out the preparation of the next dish to be eaten so I have something to do while watching TV.

I'm going to have to quit soon, since I'll be 27 this summer. I need to change my habits, as I doubt my hummingbird-like metabolism will last much longer.

Winnipeg, Manitoba.

If I'm in the mood for it, I'll go somewhere and get a shitload of poutine. I always order more than I would be able to eat, so that I can microwave the rest and eat it for lunch the next day.

Otherwise, I make a stir fry with whatever is left in my fridge and some fresh veggies.

What area? I grew up in Elizabethtown, so, when I moved to Lexington when I was in college, it was actually pretty refreshing for awhile. Louisville's, okay, too, if you can ignore the ridiculous hippie stuff like the "Barkstown Road" store (if it's even still there) that sells vegan dog treats.

But, yeah, I'm looking to move. The food isn't bad, but, there's not much else I find entertaining.

California, I got to Walmart and get a few different loaves of $0.60 clearance french and/or Italian bread loafs and eat them by myself at home.
