There is only about 1 buffet that I frequent because most of my trips to other buffets have been pretty negative so I generally refuse to eat them and will only go if with a group and I'm the odd man out.

Golden corral and other buffet chains like it and chinese buffets seem to be the worst in my experience. Always full of niggers and other human refuse and the food is terrible.

We only have Old Country Buffet here.

I swore never to go to an Old Country Buffet again after the last time I was there, I used to love that place as a kid, but the last time I was there, they literally had stale toasted cheese sandwiches just sitting in a basket. It's kinda a shame cause I always liked Old Country Buffet way more than other buffets in the area, probably because there were less grossly obese people who went there.

I love frog legs, I use to gig in high school and we would all come out and fry up a big batch and I've made them a few times as an adult but I just don't fry in my home for a couple reasons so its rare now.

Had the shittiest most depressing frog legs of my life a few months back at a Chinese buffet, reminded me that I had fucking cheap fucking nasty ass buffets.

I never really liked them. Growing up, the main buffet we used to go to when we went to those kind of places was Sizzler along with Ponderosa/Bonanza. Those corn fritters and drumsticks, man. I've never seen anywhere have the corn fritters since. Old Country Buffet was always meh. Nothing really unique in the offerings and the food quality was mediocre. Golden Corral is probably the best American chain buffet for the variety, but you've still got a lot of horrible elements going on there. I won't touch the chocolate fountain. There used to be this qt p2t waitress there too. All the Chinese buffets I've been to have blown the others out of the water though. Much cleaner and better food choices.

The main problem isn't the places themselves as much as the way patrons act in them, especially the ones who can't control their kids. It's not meant to be a "stuff your face like a disgusting pig" experience, it's supposed to be "create a plate of the food of your choice".

It seems like many i have been to (Golden Corral, Old County Buffet, Ponderosa) were all good years ago but standards just went out the window entirely. Not clean and gross food.

The Old Country Buffet by me did improve slightly (rumors) but i will have to see myself.

Im not sure how it is in other parts of the country, so people can chime in, but in the midwest Chinese buffets seem to have about a 5-6 year life span.

It noticed this weird phenomena.

A new chinese buffet will move in and be great (as decent as they can be at least), and theyll be real consistent for a few years
Suddenly after a couple years its like they flip a switch the food suddenly declines very fast, the staff gets really bad, people stop showing up.

It only takes 6 months before they close up shop, and then it only takes a couple more months for a remodel and a name change. And what do you know, the food is decent again!

Admittedly, I have gone to chinese buffets WAY more often than I should.

I just was thinking about this because our go to place over the last 3 or so years just went out of business. Good food, but then about 4 months ago we went in, it was a ghost town and the food was awful.

Their pizza is mediocre as far as pizza goes, but their fried chicken is great. I prefer their chicken to places like KFC and Popeyes, and costs around the same price.

The amount of people I have seen doggy bag food at buffets is insane.

The worst one I remember was this black family bagging the food at the actual buffet, the mother was muttering to the others "we takin' home dinner tonight"

And nobody working at a buffet has the balls to tell anyone to fuck off.

I have never, not even once, seen anyone try to take food home from the buffet. Ever. And it's not like I go to fancy-ass buffets, either. I've seen fist-fights break out over crab legs and shit.
Still, I've never, ever, ever witnessed anyone bagging shit to take home.

I haven't been to a buffet in God knows how long, but I always enjoyed it. I have a large appetite, but when I went to Golden Corral I'd just get a very large salad. Rarely, if ever, ate dessert, and would sometimes get a steak, macaroni and cheese, and some mashed potatoes. Maybe.

There is a Japanese buffet here called Hibachi, and their food is pretty good. Haven't been since I broke up with my ex.

I've been cooking at home and usually just make as much as I want, so it's not really a problem.

I always hated the Mexicans that go to buffets though, and the darkies. They let their stupid little shitskin kids run around sticking their fingers and shit into everything.
