In my area they're about $2.50. 750mL, about 15% ABV.

Note that the ABV varies depending on where they're sold and the flavor. I've seen them anywhere from 12% to 19%.

There's nothing wrong with bargain booze except maybe flavor. Everything is subjective anyway. Some people can drink sugary alchohol like cider and not get hungover, other people are sensitive to it. Cheap alchohol doesn't affect a hangover, amount of consumption does. More expensive whiskey or liquors go down easier and smoother while cheap alchohol might burn and give you a bad "drunk". I've had anywhere from $500-$100 bottle whiskeys, bourbons, and tequilas. I've also had cheap ass alchohol too. Consumption amount is what does it for hangovers.

No. Not hangovers. Buzz, smoothness and ease of drinking are affected by those. Best whiskey I ever drank had no burn whatsoever but with a ton of flavor. It was so smooth.
