thinking about trying a bacon mat. i think I'd have to do bottom only then at the end do top. wonder if grease would start a fire.

ive made toasted sandwiches, chiken pattys, chik nugz, obv pizza, quesadillas...

I wonder if frozen hamburger pattis would work. heard pancakes work.

every time i try a hot pocket or aunti anne pretzel pocket it doesn't work at all, still frozen inside. dafuq am i doing wrong?

IR cooking is notoriously bad for heating all the way to the center. With flatter foods it's not so noticeable but when you put something thicker in them they don't do so great. My suggestion is to start them in the microwave which is great at middles but shit at crust and then finish them on the IR which is great at crust and not so hot at middles.

Cheese bread. Pizza rolls, frozen cheese sticks, sandwiches.

It's an infrared cooker that alternates between intensely heating the food and letting it slightly cool via a rotating disk. Its big claims to fame are cooking/reheating pizza without ruining the texture on the crust and being able to cook crusts to a very firm "fried" texture without any oil.

It's not quite a unitasker but it's basically no more than a broiler that produces extra-crispy crusts. I had an "air fryer" and I used it till the coil blew, but these days I'd rather just use a standard broiler or an IR/Convection hybrid.

I've heard air is the new oil. Is this true or is air just another meme?
