its true, it take a lot of drinking beer before it starts to not taste absolutely repulsive.
and it never tastes good mind you, but you are conditioning yourself psychologically. Since you have had so much of it the terrible flavor isn't as jarring as it once was

you continue to drink because of 2 reasons only
1 its a socialization tool, everyone else drinks it, so you drink it to fit in. You aren't enjoying your drink, you are enjoying being part of the group so drinking beer now gives you a pleasure response because your lizard brain thinks its socializing

reason 2, you have an alcohol problem. so again you are getting a pleasure response not because of the flavor but because your body associates that flavor with getting an injection of alcohol into the system, so it's getting primed and ready for it. The same way a first sip of coffee wakes you up even though the caffeine hasn't hit yet, or the first bite of food satiates your hunger pains.

the reason you might think you like beer is one or both of those reasons.

Why would someone leave a bottle containing this expensive and delicious elixir behind?
because their social group moved on, they have no reason to finish it now that socialization is over.

how many times did you spit out that occasional sip of daddys beer before you managed to swallow it? why is that even a cliche? because it doesn't taste good is why

What people don't understand is that the US is basically two countries: flyover and city. In flyover land, and for poor people in the city, yeah, they eat a lot of pasteurized processed "cheese food" type stuff.

But for the middle class and up in cities and in the vicinity of cities, a lot of them are going to specialty markets and even a lot of grocery stores in such neighborhoods now carry large lines of "good" cheese of the sort that some Europeans think we don't have.

Kinda true, but not really.

There are a great many cheeses you cannot get in the US because of a Federal law banning the import of unpasteurized cheeses aged less than 60 days.

Also, I am fortunate enough to live near a very good cheese shop here in the US. Well, very good by US standards. But compared to a low tier cheese shop in a small European city it's nowhere near as good.

If anyone knows where to find pic related type of cheese shop in the US then please advise.

Which sucks, but that still leaves a whole lot of other cheeses to choose from. Maybe not the exact cheese from Europe that has been imported, but one made domestically using a very similar or identical process. I can buy raw goat milk at the supermarket so I'm pretty sure I can get raw cheese locally, too.

40% ethanol is more than enough to keep water clean, and would provide 20% hydration. The diuresis is the only significant factor, and is a side effect of the elimination of EtOH from the body, which conveniently takes one mol H20 for every mol EtOH. You'd lose 40% vol to EtOH, then 40% to eliminating EtOH, resulting in a net gain of 20% vol hydration.

Alcohol is a valid way to hydrate, just not an efficient one.

This is true, from any objective standard that someone might try to measure such a statement.

US-based beers consistently win international competitions worldwide.

Unfortunately, our cheese is judged by Kraft Singles and our beer is judged by Bud Light, because undereducated foreigners are inable to see beyond the advertising and walls of product of which the native US citizen has slowly become immune.

>Better vistas
Subjective, but I would disagree, primarily because of the next point.

Objectively untrue, pic related.
>Better fishing
Wrong because
>more than 10,000 lakes
1: So does MN, like 15,000, but 10,000 just rolls off the tongue better.
2: Personal experience, far better up north in MN. Only thing WI has going for it is more natural trout streams due to a larger section of the driftless area, but it's still laughable compared to, say Montana or Idaho, so not really something to brag about.
>Better seaway access
*Shorter distance to seaway
Not really better, just shorter. There's nothing impeding access from MN.
>Supper club experience
Literally no idea, and what a weird point to bring up, lol
>etc.

>There are 15,074 documented lakes in Wisconsin. Of these, about 40 percent have been named. They range in size from small one-and two-acre ponds to 137,708-acre Lake Winnebago.
>Although promoted as the "Land of 10,000 Lakes," Minnesota has 11,842 lakes of 10 acres or more. The 1968 state survey found 15,291 lake basins, of which 3,257 were dry. If all basins over 2.5 acres were counted, Minnesota would have 21,871 lakes.

Sure, and if MN lowered their standards of "lake" almost, but not quite down to Wisconsin's "one-and two-acre ponds", then like it said, MN would still have 21,871 "lakes" over 2.5 acres. Honestly, just hop on Google maps and look at the two. It's pretty obvious that MN has more lakes, even just up north. Don't scroll up and look at Canada though, that's not fair.
