>good cup of coffee on the 1st tee smelling the freshly cut fairways and wiping the dew off of the face of your club waiting for the starter to give you the go ahead since you're first off

>being first up and making shitty instant coffee on a crisp fall morning after a good night's sleep out camping while getting breakfast started for your buds

>good cup of coffee after a fantastic, expensive dinner with your family

>that first mouthful of sunfower seeds while walking up to the batter's box

>that moment you're dead tired from the first half of a competitive lacrosse game and taking that first sip of ice cold water on the sideines

>that fresh caught fish you snagged and throwing it in some tin foil on the coals in the campfire with a few fresh herbs and taking that first delectable bite when it's done

>music basting early in the morning while the sun crests the horizon with a cup of shitty gas station coffee headed to your next destination on a road trip

>cruisin' with your buddies packed in the jeep on your way to the trailhead crackin' those first few beers since you're far enough out in god forsaken nowhere to not have to worry about open container laws

Fuckin' a, I don't really drink much coffee, but I sure as fuck seem to always have it at some of my best moments. Don't really have many food related moments. I'll have to change that.

Nah. I love camping, I love traveling, and I love sports. Seems to make sense that my most vivid food memories would be linked with those activities. Either way, I have no interest in derailing the thread. This might actually have some potential.

a box of poutine i had while sleep deprived at uni
just gave a end of semester presentation after sleeping a couple hours a night for a week
was having a strangely lucid moment
left the auditorium right after i was done, barely cleaned up my presentation material, and fucked off into the rain
walked a mile to a poutine shop and got a large order or poutine stacked with what i coule only remember as savory meats
carried it back to the auditorium, sat in the back, ate my fucking poutine while deliriously smiling at my colleagues presentation.
best poutine i ever had.

>jokingly told my mom once to get me family size kfc popcorn chicken (they dont make it no more), she fucking did, i ate it all while playing mario party 2 by myself
>crepes me and my uni gf would share, being poor and all. they were great crepes. our special treat to each other
>after breaking up with said gf, walked aimlessly in rain. bought freshly made donut holes in local donut shop. ate in rain. this moment felt important to my character
>every single cup noodle i ever had was important
im getting teary eyed.

Literally anything over a campfire for me. Or having the scent of the fire in the air as you eat/drink whatever. I'm such a fucking whore for that smokey smell and outdoorsy taste. Even foods or meats I generally HATE, like seafood or organs, I'll suck down like a priest's cock on Sunday mass.

Weird how if you think about it, there are some pretty important memories attached to food or drink

>>9171659
Can't beat the campfire smell and the fact that you're outside in the fresh air eating. Something about it you just can't beat.

This is a good thread. Bout to head to work, but I'm gonna try and think of a few more. Might have to have a few drinks and get nostalgic tonight. Weird how this thread has triggered some pretty serious memories.

Country fried steak. I haven't had it since maybe 2006, and only twice in my whole life, but god damn that's some good shit.

Also recently I went to one of the top 50 Chinese food joints in the entire country. And they weren't lying, the dish I ordered was a 3 out of 9 as far as spiciness goes and I could still barely finish it, it was so rich and flavorful, NOT like panda express shit at all.
